the taps in the house aren't exposed to boiling acidic solution, more to the point, maybe 0.1% of the water that passes over them is used for drinking, if that. you do raise a valid point though, lead poisoning isn't an issue for most AHBers ;)

brass will leech lead into your beer, don't know how much, but brass wasn't that much cheaper for me to warrant the risk.

i wont, i was very much put off HB from the first few batches. sure you can make palatable and even 'good' beer using goop cans but if you're putting in the effort that's required to make kit cans palatable, AG really isn't that much more of a jump in terms of time and effort.

it extends well past just books, any games i buy these days comes from steam (UK or US stores, rarely the AU store, the prices are very different) or ozgameshop.com (also a UK company). blu-rays i usually get from amazon.co.uk, usually about 30% what they cost here and shipping is cheapish.
